Amazon Account Suspended? The 5-Step Plan of Action That Gets Sellers Reinstated
6 min read · 4 September 2026 · Calium Seller Services
Inauthenticity, IPR, review manipulation or ODR breaches — every suspension needs a different POA. Here is the exact framework our reinstatement team uses.
Why accounts get suspended
Amazon suspends seller accounts for four broad reasons: performance metrics (ODR above 1%, LSR above 4%, cancellation rate above 2.5%), policy violations (inauthentic or counterfeit complaints, IPR claims), review manipulation, and related-account issues.
The 5-step Plan of Action
- Acknowledge the root cause. Amazon wants ownership, not excuses. Identify the exact ASIN, order or metric that triggered the notice.
- Explain what went wrong. Be specific: 'Our supplier for ASIN B0XXXX could not provide brand-authorised invoices.'
- Corrective actions taken. Removed listings, refunded buyers, retrained staff, switched suppliers.
- Preventive measures. New SOPs, invoice verification before listing, weekly account health audits.
- Supporting documents. Invoices, authorisation letters, screenshots — organised and labelled.
Timeline
Most well-drafted POAs get a response in 3–9 business days. Poorly drafted appeals get rejected and each rejection makes the next one harder — which is why sellers call us before submitting.
