Amazon Account Suspended? The 5-Step Plan of Action That Gets Sellers Reinstated

6 min read · 4 September 2026 · Calium Seller Services

Inauthenticity, IPR, review manipulation or ODR breaches — every suspension needs a different POA. Here is the exact framework our reinstatement team uses.

Why accounts get suspended

Amazon suspends seller accounts for four broad reasons: performance metrics (ODR above 1%, LSR above 4%, cancellation rate above 2.5%), policy violations (inauthentic or counterfeit complaints, IPR claims), review manipulation, and related-account issues.

The 5-step Plan of Action

  1. Acknowledge the root cause. Amazon wants ownership, not excuses. Identify the exact ASIN, order or metric that triggered the notice.
  2. Explain what went wrong. Be specific: 'Our supplier for ASIN B0XXXX could not provide brand-authorised invoices.'
  3. Corrective actions taken. Removed listings, refunded buyers, retrained staff, switched suppliers.
  4. Preventive measures. New SOPs, invoice verification before listing, weekly account health audits.
  5. Supporting documents. Invoices, authorisation letters, screenshots — organised and labelled.

Timeline

Most well-drafted POAs get a response in 3–9 business days. Poorly drafted appeals get rejected and each rejection makes the next one harder — which is why sellers call us before submitting.
